The Castle Club is enthusiastically seeking candidates for Officer positions for 2012. Several incumbent officers will not be running for office again due to retirement or unavailability, therefore, we encourage every member to seriously consider committing their time for this worthwhile organization. Castle Club Officer Duties
The Castle Club Officers meet quarterly and facilitate events and fundraisers to benefit District employees throughout the year.
Any former officer can be appointed as one of the three Executive Directors by the current President.
President - Serves as a leader insuring business is conducted by the Club. Is an active participant in all fundraisers and tries to be present at all activities. Is responsible for one of the major fundraisers. Any past President will serve as one of the three Executive Directors for two years following a term as President.
Vice President - Acts in the absence of the President and is an active participant in fundraisers. Is responsible for one of the major fundraisers.
Secretary - Records the minutes of each meeting and gets copies to all officers. Keeps file copies of minutes and correspondence. Active participant in fundraisers. Responsible for one of the major fundraisers.
Treasurer - Handles all money, banking business and tax issues. Pays all bills. Maintains an auditable accounting system for the club. Active participant in fundraisers. Responsible for one of the major fundraisers. Any past Treasurer will serve as one of the three Executive Directors for one year following a term as Treasurer.
Social Events Director - Responsible for setting up various activities for members. Active participant in fundraisers. Responsible for one of the major fundraisers.
Publicity Director - Responsible for updating the Castle Club website as required. Produces any flyers needed to publicize Castle Club events. Active participant in fundraisers. Responsible for one of the major fundraisers.
Sales Director - Responsible for Corps Wear sales, bedding plant sale, holiday candy sales, etc. Active participant in fundraisers. Responsible for one of the major fundraisers.
